Skokie New Lincoln — Harvard, IL — Hartwig Mechanical, Inc.

$6,300,000 Project

Hartwig Mechanical, Inc. was awarded the contract for all plumbing and mechanical for this new building in Skokie for $6,300,000. Hartwig completed all of the ventilation, heating, air conditioning, process piping, duct-work, plumbing, and fixtures from the ground up.


The new state-of-the-art three-story 125,000 Square foot building features specialized areas for drama programs, general music and choir, instrumental music, physical education, STEM and robotics classes and art programs. Two competition-sized gymnasiums were also added.

Hawthorn Kindergarten — Harvard, IL — Hartwig Mechanical, Inc.

Hawthorn Kindergarten


$1,630,000 Project

Hartwig Mechanical, Inc. worked on the Hawthorn Kindergarten School project which entailed 41,000 S. F. addition of kindergarten classrooms. Hartwig was awarded both plumbing and mechanical contracts on this development for $1,630,000.


Work done on this project includes all HVAC and process piping as well as plumbing from the ground up.

Fremd High School — Harvard, IL — Hartwig Mechanical, Inc.

$1,851,000 Project

Hartwig Mechanical, Inc. renovated the main gym locker rooms at Fremd High School in Township High School District 211 along with the duct work in the gym. The gym locker rooms were renovated as part of long-term planning to update facilities that were used beyond their original designed life expectancy. Hartwig also added additional rooftop units to the building to help the mechanical system run more efficiently.


The mechanical contract on this project was awarded for $1,851,000.

College Of Dupage — Harvard, IL — Hartwig Mechanical, Inc.

College of Dupage


$1,606,000 Project

Hartwig Mechanical, Inc. remodeled the College of DuPage’s Early Childhood Learning Center into an administrative office building. The scope of work includes a complete replacement of the building’s mechanical system through HVAC and process piping.


The Marketing, Purchasing, and Institutional Planning Departments will move into the space, which can accommodate 60 staff members. A central, sky-lit public corridor connects the entry to the three main office areas.


This remodel followed LEED guidelines. Hartwig was awarded this mechanical contract for $1,606,000.

Seth Paine Elementary — Harvard, IL — Hartwig Mechanical, Inc.

$1,600,000 Project

Hartwig Mechanical, Inc. completed a 1 story renovation with 4 wings at Seth Paine Elementary. They were also a part of the addition that was added on to the school.


All HVAC and process piping were completed during this project. Hartwig used Aquatherm piping on this particular project for a more environmentally-friendly piping method that has been proven to increase efficiency and be corrosion free.


The mechanical contract awarded for this projected was $1,600,000.

McHenry West HS — Harvard, IL — Hartwig Mechanical, Inc.

$1,528,000 Project

Hartwig Mechanical, Inc. provided its services on the 64,000 SF, three-story addition to the current McHenry High School with renovations to existing building. Hartwig was awarded this $1,528,000 contract to complete all mechanical on the project. The mechanical included process piping and all ventilation.


The addition is comprised on state-of-the-art technology and will be a center for Science, Technology, and Industry.

Lake Zurich HS — Harvard, IL — Hartwig Mechanical, Inc.

$1,157,000 Project

Hartwig Mechanical, Inc. was awarded both the plumbing and mechanical on this $1,157,000 contract. All HVAC and process piping were completed by Hartwig. The plumbing division completed remodeling of the existing library, sinks, and emergency eye wash stations.

AERO Special Education Cooperative — Harvard, IL — Hartwig Mechanical, Inc.

Aero Special Education Cooperative


$1,717,000 Project

A.E.R.O. has provided special education programming and many other services to students with disabilities who reside in the eleven-member school districts. They are breaking ground in Burbank, IL which was formerly the Queen of Peace High School.


The building will be 150,000 sq ft with two stories and because of the size, this will offer more space for more students which makes it the largest special education schools in the state. Hartwig was awarded the $1,717,000 contract for all plumbing development.
